Michelin

A classic French bittersweet cider apple originating from Normandy. Michelin is valued for its high tannins, low acidity, and gentle bitterness, making it a dependable base apple in traditional cider blends. Its juice is smooth, earthy, and well-balanced, helping create round, structured ciders with a soft, long finish. Rarely used alone, but exceptional for building harmony in a blend.

Cidermaker Notes: In the hot Okanagan climate we don’t see high levels of tannin in these soft little apples. Without much sugar or acidity they are used only if more tannin is needed if other apples are lacking.
