McIntosh
A Canadian classic since 1811. Soft, aromatic, and gently tart. Often used to bring hay straw fragrance and approachability to cider mixes.
Cidermaker Notes: One of the main varieties planted on our farm, we use a lot of McIntosh in our fruit ciders as the crisp acidity adds freshness and long storage possibility for the ciders. We try to press them within days of being picked as the fresh notes degrade rapidly in storage and they become difficult to press.
